Default Hey Doug Reeves!!

Doug,

Our thread on torqueing bolts got me thinking about another good addition to this site. It would be nice to have one section that is only a list of links for things such as this. An area that cannot be used to post in but just where links are located. Obviously these chosen links would have to be approved my either you or moderators. It would only be links to online tools and info such as this torque calc. It could have a wide variety of things like mixing dissimilar metals, the use of certain bolt in specific locations, drilling and countersinking techniques, metal bending, thread sealing, hose making, fraction conversions, riveting techniques and related tools to do specific areas (like in the aft end of elevators) etc. Just a thought.

Striving to make this site even better...

Default Reference?

Maybe a section called 'Reference Links'?

Interested!

Yes but it needs to be only a complied list with sections since there may be more than one useful site.

HARDWARE

RIVETS

METALS

DRILLING / COUNTERSINKING

TORQUES

COOLING / BAFFLING

ELECTRICAL

REPAIR TIPS , stop drill, rivet repair etc.

FIBERGLASS

What would probably work better then is to have it be a separate section on the main site with the proper breakouts (mentioned above). I doubt there will be that many URLs in the end (couple dozen?), but it would be nice to have it.

Start emailing me URLs and what they are for and I'll get the ball rolling.

I found this one link and it has a various listing of tools. Not sure how to list it... maybe "Various" you download the tool (exe file) and then run it. Some have nice pictures included.

AN Aircraft Bolt
Slick Magneto Shop
Aircraft Wire
Aircraft Solid & Blind Rivets
Torque Wrench Extension Calculator

were ones I found useful.
