Default Tabs For Sealing the Leading Edge

I made these from soft .011 aluminum flashing. All they do is increase the area for sealing at the leading edge of the end ribs of the tank. After cutting them out, I used a maple block and a small hammer and just tapped them into shape. It wasn't hard.

They rivet on to the .063 piece with flush rivets. These rivets do not go through the rib.

Default heat

Why not give them a heat treat? Do you know the alloy?

I have no idea of the alloy.

For this purpose, I don't think they need heat-treatment. They are strong enough that it would be hard to bend them by hand, and the only purpose of them is to hold sealant in the right place. So very little load.

The flange is only about 1/4" wide.
