--f in carb part numbers?

On aircraft spruce's website, may of the Marvel-Schebler carb part numbers have "--f" at the end. The Marvel documentation parts lists show the same part numbers without the "--f".
What does the "--f" signify?

I think it's one of the many float variants MS, Tempest et al have used to designate a specific float.
