Default my tilt-up latch system

I never liked the design on the tilt up. a lot of friction and off-centered torque used to pull the canopy down by jamming a cam thru a slot. this is my version which uses the arm rest as a lever and an over-center cam action. with the arm rest raised it is difficult to mistakenly take off with the canopy unlatched. as you can see I have been using this latch system for 15 yrs. if I made it over I'd make the arm rest lever a bit more robust in the left/right direction. one could possibly damage it if they grabbed the end while it was extended.
