Default RV-7 wing fairing

The plans say to drill the wing to fusalage fairings now but I do not have the finish kit which contains the fairings. I also will need to take the wings off soon to give my wife her parking place back. My question is, how hard will it be to install them later when I install the wings for the final time? ...or will I have to install the wings, drill fairings, then remove for other operations adding another wing install/remove cycle?

Thanks in advance.

Default now

Do it now, it'll be easier to install nutplates with wings off. Then you can paint everything and install fairings for good when you do final wing mount. The fairings are cheap get a set then delete from finish kit.

As an aside, don't forget the belly-skin to root-wing-rib screw holes and nutplates.

We're talking the root fairings, right? Are you SURE they're not in your wing or fuselage kit?

Yes, root fairings. They are not on the list of parts and I saw on a builder site where they were in the finish kit.

Thanks for the replies. I will order and delete from finish kit.

Default seal

Don't forget the seal, it will affect the fairing location.
