Default 796 w/o XM wire in non-bare wire

I purchased a 796 that allows XM to be installed at anytime in the future but wiring harness dos not come as bare wire. I planned on connecting to Dynon D100 for A/P but there is no wires to hookup. Garmin what are you thinking!!. I made a slit in the wire leaving the mount and all colors are present except Blue. And there is another shielded bundle I assume to be for XM. Anyone know if There is a chance of using this harness or give Garmin another $60
