Default Facet pump inlet screen?

I'm in the midst of my 2nd condition inspection. Fuel system is carbed and per vans drawings. I understand that the facet boost pumps may have an inlet screen? Do those need to be checked periodically like I check the gascolator and carb inlet screens? I haven't heard anything about this being part of routine maintenance, but should it be? And, if so, how do you check that screen?
Thanks.

Maybe some Facet pumps are different but when I removed my and replaced with a new pump, there was no inlet screen.

I also have NO screen at the inlet of my Facet pump (old or new) when mine was replaced.

Facet recommends a 74 micron filter on the inlet of the pump but this filter is not part of the pump you must install a seperate filter.
