Default My list of cool things: Pterodactyls, Lasers, and Avery Tools

Long-time lurker, first time poster (hi all). I'm de-lurking to share a recent experience with Bob Avery. I purchased an Avery hand squeezer but had difficulty swapping yokes. Called up, and Bob himself took my call and we troubleshot the problem for half an hour. He immediately sent me a new squeezer, no questions asked. He even offered to overnight it if my workshop progress was critical (it wasn't), which was totally unexpected.

The new squeezer showed up quickly and worked perfectly. Inside was a handwritten note from Bob explaining what happened, diagrams 'n all, and $15 cash to pay for the return.

Just to repeat: At this point, I had two new squeezers and a pile of Bob's cash sitting on my workbench. Sent the first one back and all is well. In contrast, I emailed another tool vendor last week about another topic, and still haven't heard back.

Guess where I'll be buying future tools.

Default Welcome to VAF!

Tea------(is actually your name?) Welcome to the good ship VAF

Yes, your experience with Avery is pretty typical of how they do business.
