Plane Power Standby Alternator?
My electrical plans call for a Plane Power FS1-14B backup alternator (yes, I know it's not the "backup" version they sell). My new engine has a ECI 90 degree oil filter adapter. On the Plane Power website, there is a statement that that "An ECI, Caspar Labs or B&C 90 degree oil filter adapter using a spacer in excess of .75" may conflict with the installation of this alternator". My spacer is well over 3/4".
Is anyone using this unit (or even the B&C unit) with a 90 degree oil filter adapter?

I have the ECI 90 deg adapter with a B&C 20 amp back up alternator installed with no interference issues.

Thank you Walt. Any idea how thick your spacer is? Mine appears to be 2-1/2"

Not sure, its the original one that came from ECI with the engine kit if that helps.

I'm using the same setup as Walt, with NO spacer, mine works fine.

Well, that's the point...I do have a spacer and I'm hoping that some with a spacer like mine will chime in. I know the ones without spacers work.

Here's a photo of the back of the engine with the gigantic spacer...

For those with the 3/4" spacer, do you have any issues with the oil filter clearing the engine mount? What size filter are you using? Thanks!
