Airflow perfomance fuel boost pump

Hello all,

I just bought and RV6-A, N555JN and we had a great flight home from Phoenix to San Carlos, CA. We noticed the fuel pump makes a funny drop in pitch after a few seconds and the fuel pressure is pegged in the red at 31 psi. The POH states there is a pressure relief valve that is supposed to activate at 25psi.

I am wondering if it is stuck, any suggestions?

Explain you are a new owner of his product, and ask away.
Do it from a cell phone while you are at your hangar with your plane.
Then if he asks specific questions, you can look directly at the thing he would be talking about.

I have the same set up, it?s always read high for many years, never recall it not. Some years back, A&P wasn?t concerned, but just put a little placard noting such in the cockpit.
