Default QB wing received today.. Touched up areas cause question???

Received my QB 7 wing today... Cracked open the case and there is a preservative oil on everything makes sense, long boat ride.. but there are also a lot of areas where the outer skins of the wings, ailerons and flaps are touched up with either a primer or alodine, obviously the alclad was compromised and they coated it after... not sure?

Going to get the wings out the crate and into the cradle in the AM for a full inspection, further investigation and probably a call to Vans.

Just wanted to know if this is consistent with what everyone receives... Is this the norm?

Thanks

Unless they have changed, all QB stuff comes with a SW wash primer.

That is correct for the internal structure.. The outside is bare and as mentioned in this case has blotchy touch up areas in question...

Thanks

just a side note, if you are going to paint yourself, make sure you use a lot of grease and wax remover, carb cleaner or brake cleaner, blo gun ect. The oil seaps into all rivets and seams. dont ask me how I know this.....
