Default Looking for old Garmin 296 update file

Hi all,

I am trying to locate someone who might have downloaded and stored on their PC a terrain database update for their American Garmin 296 GPS around end 2005/early 2006.

The file I am trying to locate is named t296-amr-05t1.exe

It is a relatively "old" terrain database update but has the nice feature of being a one-off *FREE* terrain database update, while the current terrain update costs 150$... and we all know how often mountains and valleys move about, right...

I did download that update, but unfortunately my archived file is mangled and I cannot restore the American terrain database on my 296. I use the 296 in both the US and Europe, so I updated for free the terrain database in early 2006 to the European area, but now I want to switch back to the US as I will do some flying over there soon...

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Ciao, Luca

Default I sent it to you via Email

No problem. OOPS. My mail server bounced it because it's 27MB. Do you have a web site I can upload it to?
