Default Checkerboard rudder

3" squares on the rudder and 2 3/4" squares on the underside of the flaps. All about symmetry, didn't want any awkward sizes squares

Here's another checkerboard example... The RaVen Aerobatic Team based in Swansea, Wales...



I was lucky enough to be the camera ship pilot as a return favour for Raven 3 (Barry Gwynett) being the camera ship for my photo shoot.

PS: Keep in mind that if you are going to do checks, compound curves are going to require some creative taping. I posted the above photo mainly to give you an example of what you need to account for if wrapping the nose in checks. Even smaller checks will require some curving, but you can straighten em all out once past the compound bits.
