Default Heated Pitot

What is the current general consensus regarding the best or best liked heated pitot tube for IFR flight for installation on the RV (7A in particular)?

Thanks for your opinions.

Best regards,
Jonathan Bodine

What avionics are you considering? Many of the EFIS vendors sell their own pitot with built in AOA functions.

The Gretz was an early favorite (I have one), but with the advent of EFIS vendors selling pitots, I suspect most people will install that one due to the integration with the EFIS for AOA.

Since I am using the Dynon SkyView package I used their Heated pitot tube that also incorporates the angle of attack for the display.

I was amazed how quickly on my first flight I was able to push a couple of buttons and get the AOA calibrated to the point it was working on my first landing.

Most of the EFIS systems support an Heated Pitot or AOA.
