Default Jeppesen data vs. Govt on Garmin's

My Garmin GPS was showing approach procedures up until last week. Albeit, expired approaches.....
I paid them $250 for a "light" data package.... got it downloaded to a smart media card, and then went flying.
It was a bit hard to sort out... but found that I could see a full page view of an approach procedure with geo referenced view of the plane on it. It was under the waypoint page on FPL.
BUT, now the softkey that used to select approach.... is missing.
Did I lose all the Jepp... because I purchased Govt. data? (re-packaged by Garmin)
Before, the autopilot would track inbound and sequence through the waypoints in the approach. Now, I would have to enter each waypoint as I see them spelled out on the chart.... and build a flight plan by hand.
Am I missing some trick or tip, that is right in front of my old eyes?
