Default 6,7,9 cup holder

Anyone have photos of a cup holder installation in a 6,7 or 9? Don't flame me, I'm just trying to keep my wife happy...

No pic right now, but mine is small folding one-cup holder that is attached with a piano hinge to just under the canopy rail on right side just aft of the panel edge. I laughed when I bought the plane and found it but it has come in VERY handy many times.

I no longer laugh - I just enjoy it. It comes in handy for holding small tools, screws, and washers when I'm working on the panel.

I just saw the bone-head composites one. If I had a nose-dragger I'd get one of those!

Default cheap/light/practical

I have an aluminum bike water bottle cage mounted on the cover just in front of the fuel valve. 2 nut plates for easy install/removal. There are some nice insulated bottles available at the bike shop so coffee stays hot and H2o stays cold....and the nipple top stops spills. Saw this set up a few years ago on a Sonex and it made sense to me. You can even get the cages in carbon fiber if you want

Cheers...
Evan

Before I added upholstery siding, I bought some webbing cup holders that stuck on with suction cups.

Chech your local marine supply store. They have a lot of options.

We have a simple folding cupholder that we offer. It is a relatively cheap option that you might want to consider. It can be fitted into almost any application.

Made one myself out of aluminum, boat cup holders, and leather from
Classic Aero to match my seats.

So far, it works well.

Looks nice, but that would be a long way to reach if you're harnessed is nice and tight as it should be. IMHO

You are right! Good observation. No problem reaching the one closest but a real stretch to the other one. Not impossible but I should have moved both of them as far back as I could. I mostly put a water bottle in them and if it is real choppy, I stuff the bottle along side of me or just forget it altogether!
