I am a few days away from inspection and my Technical Counselor recommended I had cockpit lighting for my backup instruments. I really do not want to run a bunch of wire right now, any have any good battery powered options that I can clip to the glare shield or mount in my overhead console?
I use one of these battery powered LED lights and at $19.99 a pair they are a great buy. They swivel and pivot like airline reading lights so you can point the beam where you need it. I use Lithium batteries (3 AAA) and change them as part of my Conditional Inspection so they don't run out of power.

Hi,
This is Brad Smith welcomes you to this site, here we can find lots of things. For your query I suggest you to contact an expert because right now I have no idea about your question. I am sorry for that??.

We have a full length strip light that's puts out a nice light green illumination of the panel under the glare shield. It's powered off ships power normally but if that fails uses a standard 9 volt battery. I don't however know who made it. I will see if I can find anything next time I visit the plane.
