Default Climbing guages?

So here is something I noticed on my way to SnF. I have a RV-7A with an O360 and Vans steam engine gauges. About an hour and a half into the flight I noticed my oil pressure and oil temp reading higher than usual. Also one of my fuel gauges was not coming off full. I decided to cycle my master. When I did, my gauges went down. The oil from 200 to 160.

I flew a short flight the other day and the same thing but I waited till I was on the ground before I cycled the master.

Anybody have any idea what is causing this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Matt

Default Voltage?

What was your voltage reading? Watch your Volt meter next time. Chances are you are having higher-than-normal voltage output. Check your engine ground strap as well. Cycling the master most likely reset the voltage regulator.

Default voltage

Thanks Vic,
My voltage was at 14. I will check my regulator and the ground strap.
