Default Dimming Garmin 340 audio panel

I was wondering if anyone has connected the back light of the 340 to a dimmer and if so, did you have any issues. On my setup, using a Maxdim, when connected to the 340, it causes a RF noise in the headset.

Maxdim is a pulse width modulation device. Your Garmin just wants an analog control voltage, the actual dimmer circuit is internal.
