Default Dupont color match for "Lycoming Gray"

I am in the process of overhauling an IO-540, the cylinders and case will come back painted in "Lycoming Gray". I am thinking of having the push rod shrouds, rocker covers, etc powder coated. Out local powder coater uses DuPont colors, any idea what color would match "Lycoming Gray"?

Bill, did you ask the local powder coater if he has sample plates you can borrow and take to an engine for comparison? My brother-in-law has a powder coat business and he has a ring of metal plates that have been coated in all the available colors. You might need to leave a deposit with the guy, so he knows you will bring the color plates back.

If that is not an option, search for the DuPont color chip chart on the internet, or inquire at the local DuPont distributor if they have a color chip chart they can give you.

This data sheet implies it is a mix of Federal Standard 595 colors

Grey 16081 and Grey 16099

That should help the mixologists at a good paint store....
