Default Hardware Used?

I am getting ready to install the 5th point kit in my 9A.
The instructions say to space the two pieces, that go between the
seat ribs, .125".
I have Crow harnesses and the piece for the 5th point is .200 thick.
So...did Vans want the .125 for snug or should I space them the
width of my Crow hold down?
Another hardware thing I can't find in the plans...what is used to
connect the safety harnesses to the restraint cable?
Boy, some of the stuff is really hidden, took me an hour to verify
the hardware used on the front wing brackets on two drawings in
the front and back of the plans.

Thanks for any direction or numbers

Vans belts are .125 so you should space yours for the Crow harness.

I talked to Fred Crow about this very thing in January. He says his fittings are about 0.120 thick. I spaced my bracets using a misdrilled aileron bracket, 0.125 thick. You will have to lower the bolt hole about 1/2 inch to allow the belt loop through the fitting to align with the cutout in the brackets.

Check this thread for more details. The photo with a Crow bracket and ruler was taken and sent to me by Fred.
