Default IA vs A&P

The A&i that I normally use for the annual on my RV6A that I did not build is not available. I contacted another A&I who says that I can get a conditional inspection not an annual signed off by an A & P that will satisfy the annual inspection requirements on an experimental aircraft. Is this true?

John,

I think you mean an IA and yes for your experimental an A&P can do the "condition inspection".

It is true. However I suggest you find one who is familiar with RV's.

Brian Wallis is back soon. He's good, reasonable, and RV experienced.
