This may be a question for g3xpert. The update now includes synthetic vision. It looks like a G3X. You can get it if you have a GDL-39 3D or it says a premium subscription. So what does the screen look like if you have the premium subscription and no GDL-39 3D and just the older non 3D version. Do you still get an artificial horizon using the ipads internal gyro?

And, can you split the screen putting the map page next to the syn-vision page?

without the GDL 39 it shows sv without attitude so you always look forward, it works great here in Chile without the nav and obstacle information

There is no trade in for the original GDL 39...it now sells in the $500 range. A bummer.

I just don't see why the attitude info can't work with the internal gyro of the Ipad? Also, i wonder how much more memory the new syn data will take up.
