Default Fuel Valve Weight Comparison

I got an Andair FS 20X7T fuel valve from Van's, and weighed it. It weighs about 244 grams with the bezel. This is the standard one they sell.

The standard brass valve that Van's supplied weighs 208 grams. It's lighter!

And while it doesn't have the bezel, the Andair bezel only weighs about 15 or 16 grams.

I didn't expect this. Hmmm..... But wait -- the brass one doesn't have the AN fittings and the Andair does. I don't know how much they weigh. I don't seem to have any on hand, but I'll bet they're heavy enough to even things out.

Bottom line, it's a wash. Ne weight savings either way. Use whichever valve appeals to you more.
