Panel punch thickness....

I have a three part panel from Affordable Panels that is .085 (.086?) and I was wondering if I can use a panel punch on that thickness? I'm cutting the left side but will send the right out for cutting.

Should be no problem using a punch on that thickness. Lube helps!

Yes, but it is a bit of effort.

I found that cutting about half way through, then rotating the punch 90* helped a lot, the punch cuts better at the beginning of a cut.

For sure lube the threads on the center bolt.

I used a panel punch on mine but found that squeezing it with a hydrolic press was a much better way to go.
