Default Is New Garmin GDL-39 3D hard wire cable compatable with my old GDL-39 ?

Hello,

I have the 'early' basic GDL 39 with the garmin (bare wire) power cable hard wired to my Garmin Aera 550. I also send signal to my Ipad3 via bluetooth.

If I purchase the new GDL 39 3D unit. Can i just plug it in and go?

Is it fully compatable with my existing wiring?

thanks,
Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Good question. Yes, the GDL 39 3D shares all the same cables with the GDL 39, so it is truly plug-n-play to change out a GDL 39 for a GDL 39 3D.

Thanks,
Steve
