Cool Weather

I sure hope the winter does not drag on like last year. This picture is of April 23rd 2013...

I dunno...with density altitudes of -4000 to -4500 feet, takeoff performance is noticeably improved. And no high oil or cyl head temps either.

Aside from the cold, the snow, the ice, and the bitingly brisk wind, what's not to like?

Default Foreflight National Map with temps ...

Can somebody send me a PM and tell me how to access the Foreflight map that Gary posted ? I've never seen that map in FF before .... could be very handy on long X-countries.

Pick Temperature on the map page and zoom out to the entire country.

Our snow banks at the airport are so high I can't see over them! Cant even see an airplane on the runway when I am on the taxiway. I'll take some photos when I go up there this afteernoon.

We got weather! Here is a video coming back from lunch here in Grand Rapids, MI. -3?, 25 mph winds, and snowing like crazy.

Would love to go flying but my IFR isn't up to date and I don't have anti ice!
