Default Anyone Cut Down Seat Backs?

Anyone cut down the seatbacks on RV6? I'm looking to make it easier to get out (bad shoulders) and easier access to baggage area in-flight.

Also: I'm thinking of lengthening the rudder cable links to the pedals to move the pedals back one inch. I have plenty of room back there because I believe the builder fit the pedals to himself. And he's about 5'8 while I'm 6'1''.

And I may even considering adding/moving a hinge receiver back on the seat pan (closer to the seat belt attach points). Looks like I can pick up another inch there if I need it.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance to the most helpful, knowledgeable users-group I know.
