Default Iginition Wire End Pin

Working on my weak area, the engine. The ignition wiring coming with my IO-360-M1B engine has a red cap on the end. I was trying to pull it off, but it was so tight that I accidentally pulled the gray wire end insulator, pin and spring off. Without second thought, I just screwed the spring to the pin, then used straight brutal force to push the pin back in to the wire. It's pretty hard to push in. Today, the more I think about it, the more I am not sure I should insert pin like that. I am looking for help here. The ignition wire end looks like the picture below (Hope I post the pic correctly)

Default Manual with approved method

Here's a link to a manual that gives you the correct way to do it.

Page 17 has the procedure for the plug end. You may want to try and borrow the correct tools. The Unison T200 Kit is not cheap.
