Came across this forum the other day.

I've been debating about doing an epoxy paint for the floor of the condo hangar. Looks like I have about 3400 posts to read over there. I'll be back in a few days...

Default Hanger / Garage floor coating

Here's the stuff I used in my hanger... Worked great and is very tough.

I used rustoleum industrial floor coating from Menards.
My floor was in terrible shape, 60+ years old, pitted, oil/grease stained.
I put in 4 full days of cleaning and scrubbing and acid etching, then painted 2 coats about 4 days apart of the 2 part epoxy coating.
So far I have dragged heavy metal tables across it, spilled MEK multiple times, dropped tools, etc. without a single scratch or chip. No lifting or peeling, either.
Only cost about 200$ (I had to use 3 kits, about 800 square feet).

Hayward won't allow epoxy coats. Shouldn't have asked.

Thomas, you talk about this Menards place like everyone has one around the corner!

I swear, you have bought EVERYTHING for your plane from them except the stuff you got from Van!

What IS this place!?!

It must be a midwestern thing ... it is just like HD or Lowes, but cheaper. They have good deals on lots of good stuff, but you have to watch out 'cuz they also sell some ****.
