Default ss governor line clamp

Does anybody have a picture of the installed front clamp of the ss governor line? I'm having a problem picturing how it should mount. Does the clamp just cradle the line or is it suppose to hold it tight against the case? Does the metal clamp have to be bent so the bolt will seat flat on the boss?
Lycomings illustration doesn't show you much in detail.

There should be a piece of rubber tube over the line, the clamp then holds the assembly (tube with hose around it) tight against the case.

Bill, as Walt described it, this is how mine came from the Lycoming factory.

I believe the Airworthiness Directive also has an illustration. Absolutely critical to get this right!

Default Helpful picture of clamp

Thanks, this is super helpful. Based on the illustration in the AD, I assumed it was supposed to be an Adel clamp, and I was puzzled as to why it wouldn't reach far enough for the bolt to fit on the boss. Now I totally understand. I have the rubber sleeve there, but I left the clamp off. Now I know how to make a clamp to fit.

Thanks again!
