Default Pressure Sender Installation Tips

I'm about to switch out an some existing pressure senders (oil, fuel, and MP) for the new Kavlicos that came in the G3X kit. The G3X install manual doesn't give any specific directions on how to install the senders, and a search of old threads has come up dry, so I was wondering if y'all had any tips or mistakes to avoid.

Besides unscrewing the old senders and screwing the new ones in finger tight, is there anything that I should be doing? Torque values to set, mystery substances to smear on threads, anything?

Thanks!

Default Expert opinion

I got back a read via email from the G3X folks on their recommended best practices, so here they are, along with some cool references on tapered pipe thread fittings:
"You must certainly install them tighter than finger tight. Here is a pretty
good article describing how to install threaded fittings in aircraft
installations:

http://www.mechanicsupport.com/articleFittingTight.html

Page S-7 in this Parker document
http://www.parker.com/literature/Tub...stallation.pdf is also a good reference
for tapered pipe thread fittings like the 1/8-27 NPT threads used on the Kavlico sensors.

Loctite 567 (http://tds.loctite.com/tds5/docs/567-EN.PDF) is frequently
quoted on VAF as a preferred thread sealant. Permatex High Temperature
Thread Sealant is another product that is probably acceptable. Most auto
parts stores will carry one or the other. Never use Teflon tape as it can
block passages."
