First Solo
Herewith a picture, if I can manage it, of my youngest son Charles A. Lindberg who today made his first power solo flight. Chas is 17, has previously soloed a glider, and is well qualified as a rivet shooter/bucker. The airplane is a 1946 Piper PA-12 with a 125hp 0-290 Lyc.

I have a GREAT opportunity for him. I will allow him to come to my place and help me buck rivets on my plane, FOR FREE. NO CHARGE! Just think of all the experience he will get that normally he would have to pay alot of money for.

Congratulations all around.
He looks like a good kid. Looks like you've given him some great footsteps to follow.

My rivet shooting, rivet bucking, drilling, de-burring, dimpling, drilling, etc. wife of 26 years also soloed last week in a Cessna 172 at Airlake Airport in Lakeville MN.
Loves flying, loves building, AND she bought me a Fender Telecaster for my birthday! I must be dreaming!

Glad to see he wasn't permanently affected by "Take your kid to work day"!
