Default Builder Assistance

Just wanted to put in a plug for Tom Emery at Western PA RV Builders. I just finished Tom's Builder Workshop, then spent a week at his shop building my tail kit. What a great experience - the tail is finished, exept for the tips and the trim motor, and I learned a LOT. Tom has years of experience and really helped me get a feel for what to sweat and when to leave well enough alone.

I was originally thinking of building the tail at home while waiting on quick-build wings, but I now think doing it this way (i.e. building the tail in a week and working on slow-build wings during that 6 mo. wait) will leave me at nearly the same stage of completion after 6 months - and a few $$ ahead. If you need a little kick-start, or some good building experience, I would highly recommend Tom's workshop.

Now if Van's would just ship my wings - looks like lead time for them is going to be close to 12 weeks.

Regards,
Scott
