Default CamGuard with Aeroshell 100+(plus)

This is my first time on this list. RV6A, 15 years old and 510 hours since new lycoming 0360 from Van. Ive been reading all the good press about CamGuard and wonder what the great minds out there think about adding it to AeroShell 100 (+) plus.

I do exactly that. I will likely never really know whether or not it was worth the cost, but I treat it like insurance. At Airventure, I visited both the Camguard and Aeroshell booths. Both feel there product is the greatest. Both agree that the Plus in Aeroshell is not the same formulation as Camguard.
FYI - I had been using Avblend until I had to replace my camshaft at 500 hrs due to corrosion on the lobes.

Default Not recommended

My opinion comes from a dear friend who was a very successful attourney in the aviation field. He knows many people at the highest levels.

His recomendation is NOT to use "+" but use Aeroshell 100w with Camgard.
The knock against the "+" is that some of the breakdown products will attack the seals.

I have taken his advice and have not seen any reason to doubt it.
