Race To Ridgeland, October 5th

For those in the Southeast Region, the 7th Annual "Race To Ridgeland" (R2R) is coming up on Saturday, the 5th of October. You can go to the website for details, but basically the R2R is a grass roots fly-in conducted annually at Ridgeland Airport (3J1), South Carolina. There is the "Race to Ridgeland" itself, a 125 nm handicapped speed event, a spot landing contest, a helicopter candy drop for the kids, vintage aircraft flying, glider flying, a radio-controlled aircraft demo, and one of the main attractions...an aerobatic formation demonstration. There will be ball caps, T-shirts, food, and beverages available for sale. Camping (no hook-ups) is allowed and overnight aircraft tiedowns will be available at no charge.

In addition, the well known TS Flightlines and Guns Aviation will be on-hand should anyone flying in require system or maintenance support.
