Default Tip: Travel Towbar

I have a regular towbar that works great in the hangar, but storage in my -8 is at a premium.

I used the expandable handle from an old, broken roll around travel suitcase to make one that when collapsed is about 10 inches long and weighs about half of the full size towbar. It fits perfectly well in the forward baggage compartment deep well.
Simply drill two holes (11/16) for the tow lugs...add two tie wraps or pull rivets to secure one or more springs (depending on strength)

It's not perfect, but works well enough for occasional use. No old bag around? (no jokes please). Maybe your local thrift store has one.

Excellent idea! Points scored for function, re purposing materials. Now, if you can just make it weightless...
