Unhealthy Electric ATT gyro

I have a "steam guage" panel and am not quite ready to convert to a fancy all glass setup yet. I am thinkng of going with the MGL Avionics AV-2 Velocity with the SP-7 sensor as a replacment for the dying electric attitude gyro. It is about half the price of a new/overhauled electric gyro.

Anybody out there have any experience with the MGL unit. How do you like it?
