I switched to Picasa a long time ago - it has worked well for me.

This isn't really an answer to your question, since it is not free. But if you want QUALITY unlimited storage, try SmugMug. Unlike the free sites, they don't compress your images. Scott Schmidt has a side by side photo comparison somewhere.

Picasa for me too. My android phone automatically puts images on my Google account, which is extremely convenient when I keep forgetting to upload them myself.
