Default Weight of P-MAg versus Slick Mag

Hi Guys

Does anyone know the difference in weight between a P-Mag verses a Slick (4300 series) Impulse coupled magneto?

Cheers

Thanks for the weight info, much appreciated.

Hi David, I have replaced my right Mag with a P-Mag and it has made an amazing difference to my ability to lean at lower levels, I can do the big mixture pull at 3000ft and all it does now is slow down as I go LOP, no roughness anymore, so far it's made an amazing difference. The feel of the engine is also smoother if that makes sense.

If forgot to weigh the P-Mag and just need to update my weight and balance and POH, although 2lbs on the nose will be insignificant I imagine.

Cheers

I'm considering the same conversion. Is it 2 lbs heavier or lighter?

It's lighter than a normal Mag, just not by a huge amount.

Cheers
