Default Smoke system progress...

I have been slowly making progress in plotting and planning to add a basic smoke system...

In the side by side RVs we don't have a great place to locate a tank after construction. If I were to do it all again... I would make a smoke tank in the first inboard bay of a leading edge and mount the pump within the wing root gap. Joe Blank did this (after a bird strike... how cool is that!).

There are several tank solutions for the baggage area that are not terrible but not what I want... would much rather have my CG move forward. No such luck though. I have a borrowed Smoking Airplanes tank and pump (http://www.smokingairplanes.com/) and have come up with an acceptable configuration. Plan is to work with my temporary set up first.

Another company, Smoke System helper (http://www.smoke-system-helper.com/) has an aluminum sheet metal tank fitted behind the seat that looks pretty good but conflicts with my Oxygen mount. They also have somd nice injectors, pumps, and other tank options.

During my recent conditional inspection I prepared the wiring and am now working out fittings and routing.

Here is the tank in the baggage area... the tank can be oriented either tall or wide with the pump mounted directly on the tank top or side and will be removable with a couple of quick disconnect fittings (working on those details...)

Here are the smoke oil injectors.

I had hoped to have it all installed before Oshkosh but I have really been dragging my feet on the tank.
