Good question.
Norman, that would be a question for Lycoming. In days past, we couldn't drive an air compressor from one of our accessory pads on the PT-6 turbine for that reason, so we have an electric motor driven air conditioning system in the belly....draws around 75 amps! Yep..it's hard on our starter generators, but so is 96? under a helmet
