Roche Harbor and the San Juan Islands 2013
Here is a few shots from our trip last week, we flew the 10 up to Roche Harbor in Washington state, and got on a neighbors boat for a week of cruising in the San Juan Islands.
Heading out
Our GPS direct took us directly over Crater Lake.
Just north of Seattle, starting to see all the small islands that dot the area.
First view of the harbor at Roche, our buddies boat is far left, just below the long dock from shore.
Here we go, better make this a good one------sure looks narrow
Lets see, just got the plane out of the paint shop 3 days ago, and gonna park it here for a week????

Here is the boat, 49' of floating fun.
Laura driving as J C slept-------pretty trusting isnt he???
Laura and I with our hosts J C and Gail Brandt at Butchart Gardens. http://www.butchartgardens.com/index...tpage&Itemid=1
The gardens are world famous, and totally spectacular -------- a real sensory overload. Here is the sunken garden area, old limestone quarry.
Dont know what these are, but pretty wild looking.
Hey, if Laura can do it, I can
J C getting ready to catch dinner.

Ahhh! Love Roche Harbor. But for me, it's just a quick hop up to the islands for lunch at the Lime Kiln Cafe.
Everyone should put the San Juan Islands on their bucket list. Roche Harbor, Friday Harbor, and East Sound are all within just a few minutes of good food and great scenery.
