Smile Anti Splat gust lock testimonial

I bought the gust lock a few weeks ago and last Thursday night it passed it's trial by fire with flying colors. My 6-A is tied down on the ramp at KPDK in Atlanta.PDK does not use individual tie down rings but rather long steel cables
anchored to the ground at various points. So the plane has ratcheting tie down straps and a large front and back chock on the left main wheel. We had a major storm last Thursday night with 60 to 70 mph winds and trees down all over the Atlanta area. when I got to the airport on Friday morning I found the steel tie down cable lifted about 8 inches in the air and the plane and rear chock moved back 6 inches from the front chock so it must have gone flying without me!
The gust lock and all control surfaces were exactly as I left them when I parked the plane on Thursday afternoon! the plane was fine and I am a happy camper!

Well that's a testimonial. Congrats to your plane for it's first solo!
