Default Prop Balancing at LOE

I had the wood prop on my wifes RV-4 balanced on Sunday by Andy Elliott. It went from 0.20 vibration level to 0.03 and is now noticably smoother. Andy had posted this message on the AZ RV List that I am passing on for anyone who might be interested.

I am considering bringing my dynamic propeller balancing equipment
(ACES) to Santa Teresa for LOE6, if there would be enough interest.

I would offer a special fly-in price of $125, for 4-cylinder Lycomings
or clones only, and guarantee a final level below 0.08 ips. (Most
times, we end up below 0.05 ips, though.) A typical balance takes about
60-90 minutes and requires the owner to stay with the plane to run it,
and for decowling and recowling, etc.

If interested (no commitment), please post a reply or send a direct
message to a.s.elliott@cox.net <mailto:a.s.elliott@cox.net> . If there
is enough interest, I'll post a FAQ site and set up a schedule.
