I heard a rumor that LOE 2013 was moving back to Las Cruces, NM. Can anyone shed any light on this--true--false--maybe??

I can't speak to the "Lots of Experimentals" fly-in, AKA the "Red Marron RV Fly-in". I'd love to see it return to NM, as that's the first place Tyson and I met many of you back in 2008, and now we live here.

However, EAA chapter 179 is sponsoring the "23rd Annual Land of Enchantment Fly In" on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Double Eagle II Airport (AEG).

Similarly named. Different event.

I was hoping the rumor was true--the source may have been talking about the Alb Fly In that you reference. Sure did like the weather in the Las Cruces area (as well as Santa Maria) in early Oct. That time of year offers a high probability of clear, cool, and low winds---AND, on a more selfish note, it is only 1.5 hrs from my base in KPRC!
