From what I understood from one of their techs a couple of years ago; they take that unit and totally rebuild/rework it into a much better and more robust piece of equipment.

I used one from a parts store and it didn't last very long. I finally sent the starter in and it needed a total rebuild. It was one of the older ones and they installed a new stronger housing along with the usual---(brushes, etc. etc.).

For $30.00 it's probably worth a try, though.
