Andair pump mounting

I received my new Andair fuel pump today. One of the reasons I picked the Andair is that it is so small. I was hoping it would fit on the firewall without having to modify the cover. Now that I have it in my hands I find that it will fit. Can anyone think of a reason not to install on the firewall in about the same location as the carb model electric pump?
This will allow me to keep the tunnel cover unchanged. It's helps me with leg room.
