Vertical Power Update

Greetings from Everett Washington!

The move of personnel and equipment from Albuquerque to the Astronics Ballard Technology facility is on schedule for a smooth resumption of manufacturing operations in January. The large moving truck has arrived, equipment has been unloaded, and the setup process has begun. Vertical Power personnel have also arrived and been welcomed to the Ballard Team.

Everyone at Astronics Ballard Technology is eager to take on the Vertical Power product line and fold it into our world-class design and manufacturing operation here in Everett. We will continue to keep you updated with our progress.

Astronics acquired the assets of the Vertical Power Electronic Circuit Breaker product line on November 26, 2013.

New Customer Service Representative Hired

Astronics Ballard Technology is pleased to announce the hiring of Chad Jensen as Customer Service Representative for our Vertical Power product line.

Chad comes to us from EAA, where he served as the Homebuilders Community Manager and as a Senior Aviation Technical Specialist. Being a homebuilder himself, Chad has a real passion for the Experimental and homebuilt aircraft community and for aviation in general. In his new role, Chad will draw on his experience to serve customers in sales and technical support for Vertical Power brand electronic circuit breaker products.

"We are excited to have Chad join our team", says Bill Schuh, Ballard's VP of Sales. "For this key position, we wanted to hire someone with in-depth knowledge of the experimental aircraft community, as well as hands-on homebuilding experience. This hire demonstrates Ballard's commitment to continuing the advancement of our Vertical Power ECB product line".

Chad will join Ballard in early January after completion of his current position with the EAA. He will be based in Oshkosh, WI.

Just received an email from VP with the information. This is an encouraging development. Congrats Chad.

Congratulations Chad

Thanks guys! I am pumped for this new career opportunity and with that the ability to continue working with homebuilders. As you all know, it's quite a passion of mine and I can't wait to get started next month!

I can't wait to get started! EAA was and is a fantastic place to work, and I will build off of what I learned there as a community manager to keep my passion for experimentals alive and continue to work for you guys, and all homebuilders as best I can.

Thanks!!

Congrats Chad! You know this means you have to build another to showcase the products and then fly to visit the builder centers!

I was over visiting with Bill Ruprecht near your old EAA hanger early this week.
