Vans training project 1

I just finished the toolbox and started on training project one. On page one of the plans there are figures 1-3. I can?t figure out what that is for. Figures 4&5 are tools. I?m sure once I find out I will feel like an idiot...

Hey there, looks like no one has answered your question yet so I'll chip in. Figures 1-3 on the practice control surface kit are the pieces needed to practice dimpling, countersinking, deburring and riveting. Your basically just riveting the two 11 inch plates together along with the aluminum angle piece on the end for practice. That part is not actually part of the control surface. The control surface steps begin on the other side of the plans. Hope this helps.
